I get a big kick out of all of the fads that come and go in the weight loss world. There are literally thousands of plans that promise to alter your body as long as you stick to them religiously.
Some of them are even said to trick the body into thinking it\’s doing something that it\’s not, thereby affecting your metabolism and other factors.
What\’s funny about these plans isn\’t the fact that I think they\’re bogus, because I do happen to believe that many of them can and will in fact work. This isn\’t the issue here.
For some reason, people need to creatively go about their diets, neglecting to stick to the scientific principles that guarantee weight loss. There\’s a very easy way to get there that people choose to ignore.
At the end of the day, there\’s on guaranteed way to lose weight and I can\’t believe that there\’s a multibillion dollar industry of weight loss programs trying to find their own unique spin on this one simple concept. Let your calories out be more than your calories in, and you\’ll lose weight. It\’s as simple as that.
It\’s really that easy, and I find it amusing that so many people look for ways around it. As long as your caloric output is greater than your intake, your stored energy, more commonly known as fat, will be put to work and slowly go away.
Count the calories that you eat, and try to keep them healthy while you\’re at it. Low in sugar and low in fat will ensure that you\’re eating foods that are better for the body, boosting your immune system and your overall health.
At the same time, stay active! Exercise as much as you can, as you\’ll burn calories as you do this. If you want to get to the finish line more quickly, exercise often.
The key to this all is doing it on a daily basis without fail. Live by these rules and you\’ll be thrilled with your results.
