When you scramble them you can just eat them plain or you can add some cheese for a little extra flavor. You can also fry them. Some people like their eggs fried longer then others. It all just depends on the person. You can also boil your eggs as well. Of course when you boil eggs, you boil them in their shells and then peel the shells off after they have cooled. Another good way to eat eggs is by making a sandwich with them.</p>
<p>Most people eat eggs for breakfast. They pair well with other breakfast foods such as sausage, ham, bacon, cereal, pancakes, waffles, or potatoes. <p><b>Cheesy Bean Appetizers:</b> Take a variety of whole grain crackers and top them with some canned refried beans, a sprinkle of cumin, a little prepared guacamole or a chunky salsa, a square of cheese of your own choosing, and a couple of slices of pitted black olives.</p>
<p><b>Smoked Salmon Appetizers:</b> Take a seedless cucumber, remove skin and make very thin lengthwise slices. With one slice of cucumber, place a slice of packaged and sliced smoked salmon along the length of the cucumber. Then spread some plain whipped cream cheese on top of the salmon and then some chopped fresh dill and a few jarred capers (drained). Now roll the cucumber slice as tightly as possible and place seam side down on a serving plate lined with lettuce leaves. Chill until ready to serve.</p>

<p>Even though we may not have had to forage for our food, our grandparents may have, and it is evident in their meals. Any time we gather around their table, we learn what it&#8217;s like to have food created out of necessity. Their meals become our comfort foods, and those recipes are passed along to each generation.</p>
<p>When it comes to varieties in recipes, Tomato Gravy is at the top of the list. There are as many variations as there are cooks. We make simple tomato gravy during the winter with whatever we have on hand &#8211; if I have canned diced tomatoes, that&#8217;s what I use. If I have tomato sauce, I use that. If the garden is ripe, I pick tomatoes. If I have onion on hand, I might throw some in. The basic flour and oil thickened tomatoes recipe has a lot of room for tweaking.</p>
<p>One thing most cooks agree with is that you have to start with a nice thickened oil and flour mixture. <p>Harvesting and gathering simple foods that were readily available to us is how we created comfort foods. Taking only a couple tomatoes and blending them with a roux creates one of the most simple comfort foods we know &#8211; tomato gravy.
