Mmm… Are you remembering how awesome your neighborhood coffee house smells? Don’t you wish you could have a good espresso machine that could do so much more than make espressos? With this kind of versatile device in mind, let me introduce you to the Krups XP4050 espresso machine.

It was just months ago that I picked up my latest acquisition, my espresso machine. It had been a hard choice, tossing between this one and some amazingly priced high end version. That one seemed somewhat pragmatic with its fine features, but the price was, well, ouch! Then it seems I was instinctively drawn along the aisle to the automatic, fully dedicated version of the espresso machine by Krups.

Since I had the pleasure of brewing the very first espresso with my Krups XP4050 espresso machine, my tastebuds have been dancing, making me into a devout, aspiring and fully functional coffee fanatic. I am anxious to tell you more of the wonderful features I discovered in this machine.

Even though I really like this model, when I make cappuccinos, I would prefer that the cream be frothier. I finally took it off, using the stem, a very short version really. But, I am a fan of being able to warm milk or coffee. It’s a mean and lean coffee making machine! You have the ability to select either double or single espresso drinks due to the pods that are included with the device. Changing them out is cheap, too. Be certain you lock the easy to use, refill, and remove water reservoir into place to ensure the steaming feature works as intended. You don’t need to be concerned, though, the machine will tell you if something is not in place.

So, here’s my final words about the Krups XP4050 espresso machine:

It can be used in so many ways.

It is inexpensive.

It is easy to carry.

The tray is a tad tiny.

I am not very impressed by the main spout.

Overall, I am of the opinion that this maker comes in at second place of all the ones available.
