Bones can heal very quickly. This is good news because a bone injury is not likely to ruin your fitness career, but it still hurts.
Having said that, it’s in your best interest to keep your bones as strong as possible. Especially if you are a woman.
So here is how to keep your bones strong for lifelong fitness:
1. Resistance train: Applying some resistance to your muscles will increase the density of your bones. And more dense bones will translate into less fractures or even worse, breakages. Just make sure you don’t do too much too soon.
2. Keep your cartilage healthy: Once cartilage is gone, it’s gone forever. So it’s in your best interest to do everything you can to prevent excessive wear and tear. One way to keep your cartilage healthy is to have your posture analyzed.
3. Increase calcium intake: The key here is to get your calcium from natural sources of food. You see, supplementing heavily with calcium has health risks. Most notably, overdoing the calcium intake increases risk for kidney stones.
4. Get sunshine: You need light to activate vitamin D in your body. And vitamin D is used to help your body absorb calcium. Now some people prefer to supplement with vitamin D. Just keep in mind that getting natural sources is always better.
5. Avoid being sedentary: Not only does a sedentary mode of living decrease bone density, but it also decreases natural lubrication in your joints. And keep in mind that a simple walk will provide the necessary benefits here.
6. Have your bones tested: Testing for bone density is very simple and non invasive. Now always consult with your doctor first, but if you suspect low bone density then by all means look into this. After all, it could be a hormonal issue that is affecting your bone health.
Healthy bones will translate into increased levels of mobility well into the later years of your life. So make sure you take heed of the information in this article!

If you are not in a negative caloric balance, you cannot lose weight. There is simply no way around the law of thermodynamics. So it behooves you to do everything you can to increase rates of calories burned on a daily basis.
So, here is how to burn more calories to lose weight faster:
1. Make resistance training the focus of your exercise program: If all you do is cardio, you will be missing out on the best way to burn more calories, weight lifting. You see, there is no other exercise modality that can increase your caloric burn rate as much as weight lifting.
2. Move even the smallest parts of your body: This will help your burn a lot of extra calories. You see, when you fidget over the day, you burn a huge amount of extra calories. In fact, some studies have shown that people with high rates of fidgeting have a very hard time gaining weight.
3. Eat food that increases caloric burn: When you eat something, it causes a thermic effect which is calories burned from digestion. Now the best way to take advantage of this effect is to have a diet rich in protein and rich in huge amounts of vegetables.
4. Move after your meals: The last thing you want to do is sit down after eating a meal. You see, movement after a meal enhances the thermic effect of food. So make sure you try to incorporate some type of movement in between meals.
5. Exercise in water: You see, water pulls heat away from your body 200 times faster than air. Thus, the caloric cost of exercise in water is very high. The only issue here is that exercise in cold water can increase appetite a lot. So make sure you take this into account.
6. Work from the standing position: And don’t worry about your coworkers making fun of you because not only will they gain more weight, but they will also slowly degenerate their backs over time. And the best part about working from the standing position is that it will keep your more alert.
Anything you can do to increase the amount of calories you burn is a great way to further accelerate weight loss. So make sure you take action here today, don’t delay!

It is possible to lose flabby upper arms without having to step on a treadmill for hours on end. Is this statement really true, absolutely.
The secret is to enter the spontaneous fat loss mode. This type of fat loss is the most effortless one out there because it doesn’t involve exercise or any extreme dietary restrictions.
Instead, it focuses on manipulating the tools you eat with (spoons, bowls, glasses), the environment you eat in and the types of foods you eat. And the arm fat melts away without any conscious effort on your part.
How do you spontaneously lose fat? Well, here are 4 things you can start doing today so that the flabby upper arms are gone by tomorrow:
1. Consume foods with labels from undesirable locations. Now you have to be a little flexible here but it’s worth it. A very interesting study showed that people who were given an alcoholic beverage with a label from an undesirable location, ate 500 fewer calories during a meal.
2. Try to only eat low GI carbs. The carbs with the absolute lowest GI are vegetables and legumes. The more of these you eat, the more arm fat you’ll lose. Obese teenage boys will eat 621 fewer calories in a single meal when eating low GI carbs. Low GI carbs are your best friends.
3. Have a salad before any big meal. One really cool study showed that restaurateurs ate 100 fewer calories when given a salad with dinner. Now be really careful with how much dressing you use.
4. Avoid saturated fat. But make sure to have unsaturated fat. When given olive oil instead of butter, people ate 200 fewer calories during their meal. In case you were wondering, olive oil is an unsaturated fat and butter is saturated.
With the above steps in mind, you can lose those flabby upper arms without breaking a sweat. There is a body of scientific evidence that backs this up. So make sure to act on this information now!
Now I would like to point out that exercise is still a great ally in your war against flab. You see, although not necessary, exercise can get you to your goal very quickly.

Now I’m going to talk about some ultra healthy foods in this article that will ease weight loss. And said foods are widely available in most markets.
Just make sure you don’t focus on a few super foods. You see, the more the better here-different foods interact with each other in ways we are only beginning to understand.
So here are some super weight loss foods you should be eating:
1. Bison: This is a great food that’s low in fat and high in protein. And if you don’t like meat because of saturated fat content, this is an excellent alternative. The only drawback here is that bison can get quite expensive.
2. Walnuts: Walnuts used to be considered a sign of fertility by Romans and for good reason-of all the nuts they have the highest levels of nutrients. Even better, they are loaded with omega 3 fats, the type of fats that accelerate fat burning.
3. Salmon: I’m sure you’ve heard how good wild salmon is good for you, but I’m going to include it here anyways. You see, you have to make sure you aren’t buying salmon that is low in fat. Make sure you get the fattest species for best results here.
4. Lentils: I really like lentils, even more than beans because they are easier to eat, in my opinion. And lentils combine with so many different dishes. Even better, they are one of the slowest digesting sources of carbohydrates and are very cheap.
5. Broccoli: This list wouldn’t be complete without broccoli. Not only is it a great source of fiber, but it’s also very versatile. It also does a great job at boosting your immune system and fighting off cancer cells. Just make sure you have some toothpicks around to get it out of your teeth!
Incorporating a wide variety of power foods into your diet is a great way to accelerate fat loss while simultaneously increasing your health. Just remember the most important thing: take action!

Gaining momentum is the hardest part of losing weight. After all, once you have enough positive inertia, things become easier and easier.
Unfortunately, too many weight loss hopefuls do not know where to start. They suffer from paralysis analysis because of all the different advice floating around.
Thus, here are 5 dieting action items you can do right now:
1. Keep records: Having a written record of what you are eating is one of the best things you can do to assess where your diet needs to be modified. Even better, research studies have shown that people who keep records are more likely to lose more weight.
2. Always eat breakfast: And a sugar pastry with coffee won’t do here. You see, when you skip breakfast your hormonal balance becomes altered for the rest of the day. So make sure you have a robust breakfast that way you can have lots of energy and burn fat at the fastest rate.
3. Avoid liquid calories: Liquid calories are the worst thing for your body because they digest so quickly. And recall that rapid digestion causes insulin to be secreted-a hormone that blocks fat loss. So make sure you stop drinking liquid calories.
4. Eat at regular intervals: For reasons still unclear, eating at regular intervals helps people lose the most weight. There are hormonal and circadian reasons for this, but will still don’t know exactly why this happens. In any case, try to keep a structured eating routine.
5. Stop eating junk food: Specifically, stay away from fast food. You see, even if you aren’t having that many calories, fast food has ingredients in it that will severely compromise your metabolism. So make sure you stop eating this stuff.
Don’t wait to get started with your weight loss efforts. Instead, get started right now and begin to notice how your body will change. And remember that you will make mistakes along the way, but never stop moving forward!

With all the savvy marketing out there it can be virtually impossible to find the right diet for getting toned arms. Unless you have a degree in exercise science, making the right decisions can be extremely hard.
I have been in this predicament many times before.
And to further complicate matters, even the top experts usually have a hard time choosing the best diet for fat loss. If they can\’t choose, how do you choose?
The good news is that I\’ve used myself as a guinea pig for every single diet out there. And I\’ve also looked at all the research many times over.
So without further ado, here are 4 reasons why high-protein diets are effective for reducing flabby arms:
1. Easy to do: All you have to do here is take out carbs from your diet. It doesn\’t get much easier than this.
2. Extremely fast weight loss: If rapid results send your levels of motivation through the roof, then this may be the diet for you. However, keep in mind that the MAJORITY of initial weight loss is merely water.
3. Loss of hunger: Once you dip into ketosis (a couple days after total carb restriction), your appetite will almost vanish, no joke! I used to have a very hard time eating enough calories when in ketosis.
4. Reduced insulin: Carbohydrates have the biggest impact on insulin. So if you cut them out, insulin will be extremely low. And insulin controls arm fat burning.
Now don\’t run to the grocery store to load up on a bunch of steaks. There is a dark side to high protein diets-they come with many risks. Unfortunately, it\’s impossible for me to give a complete review of said diets in the space of a single article, so stay tuned. And make sure to do lots of UNBIASED research before settling with a diet plan for getting rid of flabby arms!
And never forget that information is useless unless you act on it. So make sure you don\’t let what you have learned simply sit in your head!

The majority of Americans take some type of dietary supplement to improve their health. Do you take supplements?
You see, as a nation we spend an absurd amount of money on supplements, to the tune of billions per year.
Unfortunately, a lot of what is sold to the public is under the umbrella of deceptive advertising. We are talking about fake pictures and ridiculous testimonials. Even worse, some supplements are extremely unhealthy.
So here are common misconceptions you need to know about dietary supplements:
1. They don\’t have side effects: Look, just because the supplement companies market their products as natural does NOT mean there are 100% safe. In fact, there are many \”natural\” substances that are lethal. Also, remember that a lot of supplements are super concentrated concoctions of different ingredients. Thus, at this level, the naturalness tends to fade.
2. Dietary supplements are backed by peer reviewed research: Very few supplements actually undergo the rigors of peer reviewed research. In fact, the majority of research you see in the advertisements are fly-by-night studies performed by the companies themselves.
3. Supplement manufacturers are acting in our best interest: The bottom line is that millions and millions of dollars are spent on advertising to get you to buy. And the reality is that when so much money is involved, things can get a little out of control. Ephedra is a perfect example here. So please do not be swayed by the sexy advertising.
4. The placebo effect doesn\’t exist: The placebo effect is real, very real. So just because someone you know swears by a supplement, doesn\’t mean that it\’s safe. Simply taking a sugar pill can make 40% of a group feel an improvement. Now 40% is a huge number. This makes sense, however, since our minds have such great control over our bodies.
I recommend staying on the safe side here. And the best way to do this is to only take supplements that have undergone peer reviewed research. You see, peer reviewed research is the closest we can get to the truth. And with the truth you will be better informed as to what decisions are right for your health.

There are lots of women who have it all wrong when it comes to nutrition for getting toned arms. Maybe you are one of them!
If so, don\’t beat yourself up over it. After all, it\’s all the marketer\’s fault, not yours. They have successfully created a giant tornado of arm fat confusion.
I was once a victim of said confusion.
Luckily for you, I\’ve cleared up the confusion though years of research and trial and error.
Thus, here are 4 arm toning mistakes that I discovered along the way:
1. Having too much protein. Once you have more than 30% of your calories as protein, the negatives outweigh the positives. And if you take your protein intake to an extreme, your energy levels will plummet and you\’ll lose your ability to recover from exercise.
2. Assuming whole grains are key to arm fat loss. Whole grains are healthier than most processed alternatives. However, whole grains are not optimal for someone that is very sedentary. If you\’re just starting out with losing arm fat, then whole grains are ok. But eventually you\’ll want to transition into legumes.
3. Assuming supplementation is fine. I have some shocking news: supplements are not regulated in the U.S. There could be anything in that bottle. Just because there is some certification on the label doesn\’t mean it\’s healthy.
4. Allowing more than 5 hours pass between meals. Optimally, you want to eat every 3 hours for a wide variety of physiological reasons. 5 hours, however, is the absolute limit. Once you go past this time frame, arm-fat burning muscle gets wasted away.
Steering clear of the above arm fat no no\’s will make the process of getting toned arms that much easier. So make sure to take action on this advice now and not later. Because later usually never comes! And don\’t forget to view all the marketing hype with a critical eye. Only then will you be able to get lean and sexy arms once and for all!

Pick up some berries while you are there as these are also really good fat burners. Any kind of berry is full of many antioxidants that will build up your system. They also have fiber which will help as well. They are nature’s vitamins and are a sweet treat when you are craving sugar. Reach for the berries instead of the chocolate. Almonds are also a great way to burn fat. You can have raw almonds that have protein, fiber and vitamin E. They also have magnesium and will give you energy. Munching on them throughout the day is really good for you. They can be slivered and put in salads and added with fruit and yogurt as well.
Eggs are a natural way to burn fat and full of protein to fight fat and fill you up all at the same time. They will give you energy from morning until your next meal. Soy is a great source of energy and an awesome fat burner. You can add to other liquids or drink it flavored that you can buy at many stores. Snacking on edamame is also a good thing to do as these soybeans are a great natural snack and a good replacement to high fat foods.

Becoming a metabolism expert is a sure-fire way to get rid of your flabby arm issue. Once you learn how to master your metabolism, you’ll be on the fast track to sexy arm stardom.
How does mastering your metabolism help you? Well, your metabolism is the amount of calories you burn per unit of time for your body to function. If you can master it, you’ll burn more calories.
And those extra calories you burn will rip the arm fat off. Even while you sleep
Here are 4 tips so that you can win you flabby arm fight:
1. Drink tea in loose leaf form. Bagged tea just doesn’t compare to loose leaf tea. The latter is far superior in all aspects, especially when it comes to increasing your metabolism. I personally drink loose leaf green tea with breakfast without falter. Dragonwell tea has been the best source I’ve ever found.
2. Get a bare minimum of 7 hours sleep. A lack of sleep will compromise the amount of muscle you gain from working out. And muscle is the number one thing that will fire up your metabolism. A lack of sleep will also alter the way your body processes carbohydrates. Make sure you get your sleep!
3. Consume caffeine in pill form. The trick here is to take very small doses until you find the sweet spot. Now caffeine isn’t for everyone. I can’t stand it in pill form, although it is convenient and some of my colleagues can take it all day without any side effects.
4. Eat spiced-up and hot food as much as possible. Don’t expect an astronomical increase in metabolism here. But any little bit helps right? If you eat hot food consistently, day in and day out, your metabolism will increase. Trust me. Just think about all the people that sweat when they overdo it!
Metabolic mastery is one of the primary keys for getting rid of your flabby arm nightmare. Please make sure you increase water intake accordingly to compensate for your higher metabolism. Follow these tips and you will reach sexy arm stardom!
